  Lurker comes out of hiding : )

  i've been lurking for months, reading your posts nearly every day.

  i finally decided to come out of hiding because i need help.

  i post on another board that has nothing whatsoever to do with religion and i saw this post-.

  First and foremost ... WELCOME. I lurked for months before joining too and I had already been gone several years.

  The note from that woman is just heartbreaking. She has no idea that she is being lied to about everything! You know from reading here how hypocritical the organization is! Sure, there are some good people in the org just as there are anyplace else. The difference is that the Witlesses are all dressed up and parading around on their best behavior for her now. It's not until you're inside that you begin to see the truth and then that depends too on how 'inside' you are. I can't tell you what to tell you but I encourage you ... tell the lady something ... please! I would hate for anybody to give their life over to that organization. It's just no good IMO. I'm with LUNA - people feel they need this but we can be moral human beings by our OWN CHOICE! Minus the pie-in-the-sky-paradise-hope or threats of bloodguilt and eternal destruction.

  I gave the PO a letter tonight

  tonight was the school/service meeting at the kh, and myself and dedpoet drove there at the end of the meeting to see the po.

  we didn't go in the hall, we just waited outside the gates for the po to come out, then i handed him my letter, saying it was to get things over with and save the necessity of a jc.

  he didn't ask what it was, i think he knew, especially when he saw dp give me the thumbs up sign, but asked me to reconsider, but i said my mind is made up, i am leaving, and i want it out in the open as soon as possible.

  when i joined the jw org.

  the truth was that we were separating sheep from goats by preaching door to door.. today this isn't so.. name a few truths that were true back then but are lies today.. .

  That the generation that was around in 1914 would not pass away before Armageddon hit. It still blows my mind that the WBTS so brazenly tried to side-step that by conveniently changing their definition of the word "generation".

  I'm with you on that one Daystar ... once they made that change there was no need to pretend anymore. I knew for a fact that they could not be inspired by HS and get something like that so fundamentally wrong for so very many years ... and have people putting their lives on hold anticipating a new world . Really pi**ed me off that one did I remember the seperating flip flop a little less passionately than the generation change. Must not of been paying attention very well ... probably didn't get a chance to underline my watchtower . sweet tee

  i have held off posting here for a long time, i have read this board from nearly its begining, and have been tempted to post before, but haven't.

  i am a life long witness, and so is my spouse.

  several years ago i began reading various internet sites about the history of the orginazation and came to the horrifing conclusion that some things are just not right.

  whether it be jehovah whoever how many believe there is a supreme being and remember if you believe there is god then you must believe there is satan right??

  I do believe there is a God but I don't know what that is per se. I guess I am just going along with my own emotions. There is something, someone I pray to and call upon for help and I believe that I receive the help I need even if it is only strength. In operating from the most honest and sincere place within myself ... I cannot deny nor confirm that there is a 'supreme being and creator of all things' therefore I am resolved to live my life being the best person I can be because that feels good to me - always has, which is one of the things that made me such a good stupid assed brainwashed blinded fool witless. So in my world, there is no devil, there are no demons, the future is unknown and whatever happens when we die is what happens. I don't have any proof or confirmation of supernatural things so I can't let them rule my life. The laws of nature are easy enough to understand and follow why should the laws of God be so excruciatingly difficult to comprehend? And impossible to fulfill completely? Is it because what we are taught to believe about God doesn't actually come from God? That's my theory. People have determined what God wants from us and call it 'worship'. I feel no need to 'worship' the God within me - all my God wants from me is love and appreciation. Isn't that what we all want when it comes down to it?

  hi everyone, totally new here.

  and still associating with jws... have been baptised 23 years, that was at the tender age of 13 when i had absolutely no idea what i was doing.

  i have always been considered a rebel...brought up in a family by a single parent, my two brothers are both elders, the younger being a regular pioneer, my sister a regular pioneer and serving in a foreign language congregation.

  You give us all hope that people in the borg are waking up. Funny you ignored the internet warnings ... Bully for you! There's a wealth of information out here on the lies the Watchtower's been selling for the past 125 some odd years. Enjoy your reasearch but be warned that it is mindblowing all the secrets they've kept from you (you think 586 was a revelation ). And one more warning for you ... this web-site is addicting but it's a good thing.

  i was in touch with her until the time of the florida hurricane and she was in a very close path of the worst of it.

  i haven't seen her online since and sincerely hope all is well with her and her loved ones.. please join me in sending good thoughts her way and having a warm welcome ready when she returns to us.

  Everyone have a great weekend. Do something to make Jehovah God and Jesus proud. I will try as well.

  ' ... unfaithful in least, unfaithful in much ...' . You do not make your God the governing body Jehovah proud by posting here. Even if you're trying to rationalize that your words might save someone here, the only person you are fooling is yourself. If you think for one moment that you're going to turn somebody back to being a blind follower of power hungry, manipulative, deceitful, abusive men you are very, very much mistaken my dear.
